David Wade

David Wade studied hitting under John Wilson and pitching under Mark Michael between 2011 and 2013 and during that time became a 10-u hitting instructor for the old school. He also helped coach and run practices for several Lexington Grays age groups. He specialized in building a foundation of solid mechanics for younger and inexperienced players, but has worked with middle school and high school players as well.

Chad Martin

  • Played Junior College baseball at Vincennes University as a Pitcher/DH

Robert "Pookie" Jones

  • Played baseball and football at Calloway County High School

  • While playing baseball at UK our team set the NCAA record for home runs in a single season 117
  • Drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 14th round of the 1994 Amateur draft

  • Managed by Rudy Jaramillo during my first year in pro ball
  • Rudy has 18 years of MLB hitting experience. He taught me the proper hitting approach

Ishmael Thomas

Ishmael “Ish” Thomas has coached baseball in Lexington at Southeastern Cal Ripken for many years. Ish played competitive baseball in Lexington and has studied coaching with Pookie Jones. Ish will work with our younger players to give them a solid hitting foundation and to help learn to love the game.
