Saturday Catching Clinic

Picture of catchers mit.On Saturdays, running from November 7 to December 19, LBS will hold a Catching Clinic from 10 am to 12 pm. Jeff Gray, Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach at Clark County High School will conduct the clinic. Jeff will be teaching the finer points of Catching.

The Clinic is open to all ages and will cost $25.00 per session. Attend as many sessions as you would like. Space is limited so sign up early.

Winter Hitting and Pitching Camp

Chad Martin and Miles Noland in baseball uniforms. Join Chad and Miles for pitching camp this winter at Lexington Basaeball and Softball.Join us for the First Winter Hitting and Pitching Camp at LBS. Chad Martin, Director of Baseball Operations at LBS, and Miles Noland, Owner of Noland Fitness, have developed an intensive training program for hitting and pitching. The course will concentrate on developing perfect fundamentals and a proper fitness regime for ball players of all ages.

The Camp will occur on Tuesday evenings starting November 17th and ending on December 29th.

There will be a maximum of 12 players per age group. The cost for the 7 week program will be $239 for ages 7 to 12 and $379 for ages 13 to 18.

New Instructors

LBS is very excited to announce that Matt Ginter will be offering pitching lessons on Tuesdays. Matt played baseball at Mississippi State University. He pitched in the Majors for 11 years for the Chicago White Sox, New York Mets, Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians. Matt is currently the Head Varsity Baseball Coach for George Rogers Clark High School.

Shelby DixonShelby Dixon

Also joining the LBS staff of instructors is Shelby Dixon. Shelby serves as the Volunteer Assistant Coach for Transylvania University. He played for the Pioneers where he earned first team All-HCAC honors. Shelby will be offering pitching and hitting lessons at LBS.

David Wade

David Wade studied hitting under John Wilson and pitching under Mark Michael between 2011 and 2013 and during that time became a 10-u hitting instructor for the old school. He also helped coach and run practices for several Lexington Grays age groups. He specialized in building a foundation of solid mechanics for younger and inexperienced players, but has worked with middle school and high school players as well.

Andrew Bryant

  • Selected as an East / West All Star during his Senior Year
  • Helped Lead the Commodores to two Regional appearances and a District Championship
  • Played for the University of Kentucky and Bellarmine University
